Who's behind us?

In our formative years since 2015, SAPAC was nurtured by the generous support of our founders, families, friends, and colleagues. This foundation allowed us to embark on a transformative journey in 2021, reimagining the potential of technology for positive impact.

A pivotal moment arrived in 2023 when our partnership with Sanlam empowered us to expand our operations nationally. Since 2021, SAPAC has been silently at the forefront of innovation within South Africa's construction and building sectors, progressively expanding our reach from the Western Cape to other provinces while engaging with key regulatory bodies.

We recognize the complexities inherent in South Africa's construction landscape and have strategically and tactfully aligned ourselves with key industry stakeholders to address these challenges effectively.

A brief history

2015

Where it all started

Two seasoned professionals with extensive experience in construction and mining were visiting a rural property in South Africa. When there was an incident involving a contractor. Highlighting a critical gap in the industry: The lack of a reliable system for artisans.

This firsthand experience underscored the urgent need for a standardized approach to assessing competence and adherence to industry regulations.

Recognizing this deficiency, these professionals developed a comprehensive in-house standard. Encompassing key factors essential for various trade disciplines. This framework, subsequently named the SRA standard, aims to elevate industry safety and quality through rigorous processes. And takes the artisans safety and wellbeing into consideration. Including that of the end user.

NOW

SAPAC is making it happen, in 2024 July SAPAC completely rebranded with, a new look and feel. We know that the Professional Contracting sphere is about digging in and getting things done. But you also have to do those things that you say you are going to do. Which is why our motto is, "This is the Way". We are getting things done!

This attitude is what has allowed us to prove many wrong and has allowed us the recognition within the the different disciplines.

What matters to us

At SAPAC, we believe you must understand "contractor-ese" (Contractor Language) so there are 3 states of alignment. You can watch "it" happen, let "it"  happen or make "it" happen. And we are the ones that make "it" happen.

We’re here to increase productivity, cut complexity and build trust within and for the construction industry. And that’s why many South African Professionals and Contractors have joined SAPAC. They’ve made us the go-to online destination to push back against the "non legal self named-contractors" And we're here to back them all the way. In many ways.

So if you’re ready to make "it" happen too, then SAPAC is the place for you.

Our Leadership team

As SAPAC has grown from what was once a "concept" or "idea" into a reality, the day-to-day operations have been handled by Ella, and Gerhard, under the guidance of our directors. They’re supported by our management team who work hard every day to make "it" happen.
