Anti-Bribe Anti-Corruption Policy
Introduction
South African Professionals and Contractors (SAPAC) is committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards and maintaining a culture of integrity and transparency. This Anti-Bribe and Anti-Corruption policy outlines our commitment to preventing bribery and corruption in all its forms.
Scope
This policy applies to "all SAPAC stakeholders", and any other individuals or entities acting on behalf of SAPAC.
Policy Statement
SAPAC strictly prohibits bribery and corruption in any form, including but not limited to:
- Inclining or offering, promising, or giving any undue advantage to any inspector, public official, employee, or representative of a third party for the purpose of obtaining or retaining business or securing an improper advantage.
- Soliciting, accepting, or receiving any undue advantage from any public official, employee, or representative of a third party.
- Facilitating or participating in any corrupt activity.
- Falsifying, manipulating, or concealing information for the purpose of committing bribery or corruption.
Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of stakeholder status:
- Offering, promising, or giving gifts, hospitality, or other benefits to inspectors or public officials or employees with the intent to influence their decisions.
- Accepting gifts, hospitality, or other benefits from inspectors, public officials or employees that could be perceived as a bribe.
- Making false or misleading statements or representations in any business dealings.
- Engaging in any activity that could create a conflict of interest between SAPAC stakeholders
- Retaliating against any employee who reports or witnesses bribery or corruption.
Due Diligence
SAPAC will conduct due diligence on all business partners and suppliers to assess their anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices.
Reporting and Investigation
SAPAC encourages all SAPAC Stakeholders to report any suspected or actual cases of bribery or corruption. A confidential reporting mechanism is established to facilitate anonymous reporting. All reports will be investigated promptly and impartially.
Disciplinary Action
Any SAPAC Stakeholder found to have violated this policy will be subject to action, up to and including termination of SAPAC Stakeholder status.
Training and Awareness
SAPAC will and shall provide regular meetings and this policy will be relayed on anti-bribery and anti-corruption for all SAPAC Stakeholders. This policy will also be published on the home page of SAPAC.
Compliance and Monitoring
SAPAC will implement various manners to monitor compliance with this policy and regularly assess its effectiveness.

- Third-Party Code of Conduct: Third parties to SAPAC must ensure their policies is updated and enforced.
- Risk Assessment: Regular risk assessments will be performed to identify potential bribery and corruption risks and implement appropriate controls.
- Communication: This policy will be viewable on the front of SAPAC.
- Review and Update: This policy will be reviewed bi-annually or after a reported incident.
