SAPAC's Collective Mission and Objectives
"Our mission at SAPAC - South African Professionals and Contractors Collective is to serve the public by providing free access to registered, qualified, and competent professionals and contractors who adhere to ethical standards and deliver reliable services in line with SANS guidelines. We aim to be a reliable source of information and guidance, empowering individuals and businesses to make informed decisions about their projects and partnerships".
SAPAC's Community
Our purpose is to broaden our community of industry-specific voices, working together to continuously improve the different disciplines in South Africa and beyond, while eradicating fraudulent activities. We believe that through collaboration and a commitment to integrity, we can foster trust and respect between all stakeholders and build a strong community that positively impacts the construction industry. And yield trust back to those negatively impacted by fraudulent activities and underquoting issues that negatively impact the public.
SAPAC's objectives
Our objectives are to be a pure source of open-source information, setting the continuous standard to be upheld by the greater collective of the platform. We will partner with entities that contribute towards all stakeholders in a positive, ethical manner, thus ensuring that each SAPAC entity is commercially viable.
We will engage the public continuously through social media and continuously encourage professionals and contractors to use their own SAPAC platform and submit news and participate in the community for the commercial value it represents.
By pursuing our mission with purpose and commitment, we know we are achieving our objectives and make a positive impact on the different disciplines and the communities it serves."
The Purpose of the Collective.
The purpose of SAPAC - South African Professionals and Contractors Collective is to allow for the public first and foremost to get to a registered, qualified and competent Professional or Contractor that can provide a reliable quotation that is in line with SANS standard guidelines.
This will serve the public in obtaining a correct "service delivery" towards required specifications in line with regulations, standards and local municipal bylaws.
SAPAC - South African Professionals and Contractors Collective, understands therefore that there are two sides to any such activity that may be undertaken both commercially by a client and that of the Professional or Contractor. Thus the collective has the acquired capability to present mediation and where required arbitration should there be a need.
Our collective values are defined by integrity
SAPAC`s integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It involves "SAPAC`s" to adhering to a code of ethics that is instilled within their own organizations underpinning the standards of their respective disciplines. Even when it may be difficult or inconvenient to do so.
South African Professional and Contractors are trustworthy, dependable and ethical in their behavior. Therefore, it must be stated that our collective integrity is often associated with the concept of "doing the right thing", even when it may not be popular or easy.
It involves being truthful, fair, and consistent in one's actions and decisions and treating others with respect and dignity.
SAPAC's integrity is important both to the public and in professional contexts. In personal and commercial relationships, integrity helps to build trust and respect, while there are many workplaces associated with SAPAC's professionals and contractors.
Integrity is then therefore essential for building a strong community and positive reputation and maintaining strong relationships with each Professional and Contractor stakeholder within SAPAC, and utilizing each others services, the public i.e. clients are defined as the end user and therefore should obtain the best relevant standardized services in line with each discipline.
The Collectives objectives
Long term objectives
To be a reliable pure source for the public and commercial businesses alike to obtain relevant correct information that is open source. They will make their own informed decisions on suitable professionals and contractors to approach, or to partner commercially with and to utilize to great effect in terms of required standardized requirements.
This undertaking encompasses the entire construction sphere in South Africa, and where possible further afield. The reach of SAPAC's is determined by all stakeholders that form part of SAPAC's ever-evolving platform.
In effect, this will mean that SAPAC itself. The stewards of SAPAC's will commercially partner with certain entities that can and will contribute towards all stakeholders in a positive ethical manner that will contribute towards each SAPAC's own entity. SAPAC has therefore partnered with one of the top 5 known insurers in Southern Africa, which is always "thinking ahead".
The collective's continuous objectives
SAPAC stakeholders then therefore as a collective sets the continuous standard that is to be upheld by the greater collective of the platform, in effect providing an industry-specific voice and valued opinion within each discipline.
A specific discipline might agree to uphold or better on the requirements of a said specific standard as to keep a standard operational, if such said standard is not detrimental to the health and safety of the public. And to engage where required with policymakers in the different disciplines to affect change.
Part of this continuous objective principle is to eradicate fraudulent activities that are a continuous problem throughout Southern Africa, in each metropole area. Each professional and contractor that forms part of the collective is then therefore free to identify as a true Professional or Contractor with this said symbol for the public to recognize.
Professionals and Contractors that want to utilize this symbol may do so in the following manner to be identified as true Professionals and Contractors that form apart of the collective for the public to be seen.
