Public Notice: Beware of Impersonators Pretending to be SAPAC Agents, or professionals or contractors stating they are with SAPAC.co.za

We would like to inform the public about a concerning issue that has come to the attention of SAPAC.co.za. It appears that there are individuals who are posing as SAPAC Agents, and contractors that state they are with SAPAC.co.za.

SAPAC.co.za Pre-emptive action 

As SAPAC.co.za we are therefore taking pre-emptive action to provide you with the necessary information to protect yourself.

If someone approaches you claiming to be able to assist you in finding a contractor or professional service provider, or claiming to be with SAPAC.co.za and requests money for their services (either as fraudulent SAPAC agent, or claiming to be a SAPAC.co.za Professional or Contractors, we urge you to be cautious and take the following actions.

Firstly, visit SAPAC.co.za and enter the person's name and/or surname or company name to perform a verification. If the person is not listed on the SAPAC.co.za platform, it indicates the following:

  1. They are not associated with SAPAC.co.za.
  2. They may be attempting to run a scam against you.

If such a situation presents itself , please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Inform SAPAC.co.za about the person by providing us with the contact details you have. (Press here https://bit.ly/SAPACHelp)
  2. It is crucial that you open a case number with the South African Police Service (SAPS).
  3. Send a WhatsApp message to the following number: 0823280967, along with the case number. It will be an impersonation case.
  4. Refrain from engaging with the individual in question. If they are not on the SAPAC.co.za panel, they are not associated with SAPAC.co.za.

  5. Complaints will be handled by SAPAC.co.za according to our established protocol, which can be initiated on the relevant professional or contractor's profile if they are listed with SAPAC.co.za
